Strategic Value & Investment

  • The facility is strategically located in the Charleston region, supporting efficient logistics and access to East Coast distribution routes.

  • The project represents a $3 million investment and will create more than 10 new jobs locally.

  • Operations are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

Alignment with Maars’ Global Vision

We look forward to welcoming new teammates, building local partnerships and delivering high-quality, sustainable modular systems from our U.S. base.

Redefining Acoustic Performance in Glazed Door Systems

Maars Living Walls proudly introduces a groundbreaking innovation in acoustic performance — the Framed Double Glazed Acoustic Door, the first glazed door system in the world to achieve a certified 50 dB acoustic rating.

Developed by Maars R&D and Product Management teams, this door represents the next step in Maars’ continuous pursuit of technical excellence, design freedom, and seamless integration between wall and door systems.

Performance Meets Design

Until now, glazed doors were often considered a compromise in acoustic performance. This new system changes that. With the Framed Double Glazed Door, architects and designers can now match the high acoustic performance of Maars’ glazed wall systems without sacrificing transparency or aesthetics.

The door is available in 44 dB, 48 dB, and 50 dB versions, offering flexibility for a range of project requirements.

Key innovations include:

  • Advanced hybrid profile design for optimal isolation and absorption
  • Dual acoustic laminated glass providing superior sound insulation
  • Double-rebated door construction for maximum sealing performance
  • 3D adjustable hinges and precision-engineered hardware for long-term reliability
  • Integrated perforated stiles for improved sound absorption

Tested and Certified to the Highest Standards

The door has been thoroughly tested and certified by Peutz Laboratory in the Netherlands under ISO 717-1:2020 and ASTM E 413-2022 standards, validating its exceptional acoustic performance and product reliability.

With a door thickness of 100 mm (4″), this system provides unmatched acoustic isolation within a refined framed design that aligns perfectly with Maars’ wall systems.

A Step Forward in Innovation and Sustainability

By combining advanced engineering, material efficiency, and sustainable production practices, this development underlines Maars’ ongoing commitment to innovation and circular design. The new acoustic door not only enhances privacy and comfort but also supports the creation of healthier, more productive environments.
