The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recently relocated from London to Amsterdam. A special project, especially the quick realization of the complex is something that stands out.
Dura Vermeer, who formed the EMA building consortium together with Heijmans, completed the complex eighteen months after the start of construction. About twice as fast as usual for such projects.
Maars Living Walls has been able to supply the partition walls for this impressive office. Nineteen conference rooms are available in the EMA, including an auditorium that can accommodate 280 participants. For a number of meeting rooms an atrium effect was created with fall-proof Double Horizon walls.
More than 27,500 m2 of space was designed to an office space using Panorama and Metaline as partition walls and XL flush doors. The office design contained an open area with fixed workplaces, quiet areas, and individual workplaces.
This building has a BREEAM Excellent mark. Realized by choosing materials with a low environmental impact and a high degree of prefabrication. Maars Living Walls perfectly matched that need.
